Cooking Instructions
Ingredients:
- 2lbs pork loin roast
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- 2 tsp of pink Himalayan salt
- 2 tsp of oregano
- 1/8 tsp cumin
- ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cups of water
Directions:
- Season the meat with a little salt and pepper. Sear the meat on all sides on a very hot cast iron pan or regular non-stick pan without adding any oil if possible. Do this for about 2 mins per side.
- In the slow cooker, add water and all of the ingredients and give it a good stir.
- Add the meat and set on high for about 3 hrs.
- Once done, drain the liquid very well and allow to cool a little. Once cool, shred the meat with a fork in a bowl.
- Add the 2 tbsp of olive oil and massage the meat until everything is covered. Spread out the meat on a baking tray and stick in the broiler for about 15 mins until crispy.
