I've always been extremely thin. Incredibly fast metabolism. I also have a mild/moderate chest wall deformity (pectus excavatum). I hated (and felt betrayed by) my body. After MANY failed attempts to gain muscle mass, I finally had a breakthrough in 2008 (at 36 years old). Through disciplined nutrition and a strategic lifting plan, I was able to gain 21 lbs of lean muscle mass in just under 4 months. From 2008 to 2012, I found it difficult to make significant gains. In fact, I lost 4 lbs. I've learned a lot from Scott (and others) and recently found some much needed accountability and encouragement from a close friend. In the past four months (late July until late November), I've gained nearly 10 lbs of muscle. A little over 5 years ago, I weighed in around 110 lbs. Now I'm closer to 140 lbs. My goal is to reach 155 lbs (gain and maintain 15-18 more pounds of lean muscle mass) within the next year.
