You need to eat more calorically dense foods that are still very nutritious. Carbs and healthy fats will fit the bill:

1) Brown Rice

2) Sweet Potatoes

3) Whole Wheat Pasta

4) Oatmeal

5) Coconut Oil

6) Nuts - Walnuts, almonds

7) Avocados

8) Olive Oil

All of these are calorically dense and very nutritious. Add these, or more of these if you are eating them already, into your meal plan. Lean, healthy protein is not a good source of extra calories.

Thanks for the info, John!I started counting my calories, and noticed I am on the low side of calories. Also my fat intake is very low. So I am looking at some fatty calory dense foods. Nuts are easy, but as you specificly noted Walnuts and Almonds, does that mean that peanuts aren't good nuts?

Peanuts are good as long as they are salt free and peanut butter is excellent as long as it is devoid of added sugar and salt - which most commercial brands have. Also add in virgin coconut oil as your hormones are all built from saturated fat and coconut oil and egg yolks have the best sources. John

Why no salt in the peanut butter? I'm cutting, not bulking at the moment, but peanut butter is like the best thing in my life right now. I avoided getting one with sugar, but it has salt.
