I have been using protein powders for about 7 years now. One thing to understand is there is pretty much a given price for all protein. about $59.99 for 4-5lb tubs. Anything more than that ratio is overprised with probably something not really needed added to it to make wealthy fitness athletes think they are getting more out of protein. Protein you do not need too much research on because all you are looking for after your work out is to get that 25-35g of protein along with all the essential BCAAS/recovery enzymes.
-When protein is super cheap, it usually means it comes from an uncommon company that could be using fillers in their protein so that the g of protein per serving goes up.
-1 THING TO BE CONSIOUS OF; There is no type of supplement that has to go through FDA approval. Companies can literally put anything they want into their product. If there is ever a complaint in the supplement, the FDA can be notifed, but the FDA notifies the company before they go out and go through an inspection in their product.
-Your best bet is to go with a common popular brand name with a flaver that you prefer. A couple of my favorite proteins is MTS whey, and BSN or Optinum Nutrition Whey. All are very relaible and great on taste. Youre better off spending the same amount of money every athlete is and getting the real product.
