Oussama,

First off, I would not look to drug fueled bodybuilders like Rich Piana for any lifting advice. He, like most other pro bodybuilders, are on mass amounts of drugs to get their size. The reason this matters is their recovery abilities, protein synthesis abilities, metabolism, and testosterone levels are magnitudes faster and higher than yours. This means they can eat and train much more than a natural athlete.

If you want lifting advice for the best ways to reach your goals, follow the routines and guidelines from Scott here on this website. There is plenty of information on how to lift, what routines to follow, exercises to build specific muscle groups, and how to build your meal plan.

John is on point bro. Though I don't knock people who choose to juice, I mean it is their body, use it how you choose. You do have to understand the, what 48-72 healing cycle. I heal very quickly, but still not like piana. I would actually suggest you listen to your body first, investigate some of the video information here to build an awesome all around routine, and consider adjusting your macros. If you are looking to build lean muscle, but burn some excess fat....like me.....you might need to tweak those numbers.

I typically only get arm work as a secondary and once a week, and I think I'm a natty 17 and some change. You are on the right track, getting into the gym and doing the work, now comes the learning and adjusting phase.

@boyka93 Hey man! awesome post and goals!

My name is Luke!

We are about the same age with the same goal.I am 5'10 at 190. My macros have been 180g Protein, 135g carbs on rest/cardio days, and 150g carbs on lifting days, with 45g fat. This I was loosing roughly 3lbs of fat a month with loosing zero strength and in my opinion barely any muscle mass.

First off, If you are going to do that I would reccomend doing the high rep workout the second day and do heavy lifting prior to avoid joint injury.

Also, I am a huge fan of Rich Piana, and as you know, he is not natural. His types of workouts are crazy for natural athletes. 8 hour arm workouts?!?! LOL. Honestly in my experience, just lifting as hard as you damn can everyday is the only factor you have to consider while at the gym. Stop worrying about which routine to follow and just workout what feels good and to push yourself every set. For example, instead of following what someone else does, say it is your back/bi workout. pick 4 back and 4 bicept exercises. do 4 sets of each, 15, 12 , 10, 8 for reps. However, when I mean reps, it means heaviest way you can do to barely reach those numbers. I want that 15, 12th,10th, and 8th rep to be grinders. Push and work hard your body, recover well nutrtiously and sleep as much as possible. Keep the the basics!
