About Me

I'm just one of many who decided enough was enough. I've eaten bad for a lot of my life and exercise basically stopped after school did. I was dangerously below weight until my teenage years, and then piled it on massively. My posture is terrible, and i sweat a lot just from light physical work, and my strength is not good enough for my frame. I used to smoke like a chimney and i gave that up two years ago & moved to vaping and that change alone has made me feel a lot better, but my diet and sedentary lifestyle if continued, will kill me faster than any cigarette ever can. My aim is to one day move on from vaping as well. I had an ankle injury where i was working on the farm and got my foot stuck in a hole and twisted my ankle 180 degrees.. No amount of xrays or ultrasounds could find anything wrong but i had the pain for weeks. My ankle was put into a half cast as a last resort and due to that, my Achilles tendon has been repositioned. I don't know if i ever will have my ankle back to normal, but i see it as a challenge to overcome, not a defeat. I Signed up to a 24Hr gym in February, and my aims are realistic: Lose 35Kg of fat Become flexible like i used to be Sweat less To be Fit, healthy and live longer. To learn to eat better and give my body what it needs, not to diet and starve. To Fit into clothes easily and be comfortable with myself To exercise with proper form and maximum effort every time, leaving nothing in the tank. I aim to run a few spartan races and the Sydney city to surf next year (2015) among other things. That's me. I'm sure many of us have different or perhaps similar stories on how we got the motivation to say "NO MORE!" but we all have something in common and that is we are moving forward. I have a whole bunch of goals that i want to achieve through fitness. There is so much information, misinformation and downright false info on the net, and it was great to find the videos by Scott on Youtube. They have helped me more in such a short time than anything else has, so cheers mate and cheers to all of you here in the forums.. Lets do this journey together!!
