About Me   

My story is very much like Scott Herman's; I grew up getting picked on. However, unlike him, I was very overweight. In the 6th grade I weighed approximately 185. I didn't have many friends, and the ones who were my friends were in the same predicament. Needless to say, it was not helping my case in any way. I started playing sport because I knew that it was the only way to a step in the right direction. I began playing flag football in middle school. I loved it, once I became more confident, I played full contact all through high school. I began doing power lifting sophomore year and on. Out of high school, I maxed bench @ 185, squat @ 235, and deadlift @ 275. I am currently working on my BA of Health and Wellness. Like Scott, I wished someone was there to help me when I struggled, so I made a promise that I would not sit and watch someone else go through the same thing. I have three children now and I pray that they don't end up like me in my younger years, but if it does I will not be oblivious to the situation and I can help them early. I am 26 now, and I weigh 208. I do a lot of resistance training and I incorporate cardio ever so often. I travel for work, and my job is very demanding so when I get home, I have no energy or will to hit the gym, nor do I have the luxury to planning out my meals and usually only eat 2-3 times a day. Therefore, I seek to get lean and reach my fitness goals to support the demands of my job. At least until I become a Fitness Trainer/Nutritionist.
