    Front Squat

    Hey Scott,

These feel pretty good, but someone pointed out to me recently that it looks like I lean forward at the bottom.  I do see my elbows dipping down in the video.

In a perfect world, elbows stay at the same height throughout the entire ROM?

Ohhhhhhh we need to loosen up those lats Porscha!! Thats why the elbows are dipping down as you descend! If you can attach a BAND to a high place and then wrap it around your wrist and SIT, this is the best stretch for the lats.

Make sure you do it on BOTH SIDES and do it between sets as well! Always warm-up before set one and stretch the lats, but continuing to do this stretch between sets will help you REALLY loosen up!

Thanks for this, I'll definitely give it shot next time! My shoulders/lats always feel tight in general.

Been stretching my lats in between sets...it feels really good, but I don't notice an improvement in my elbows dipping no matter how hard I try to keep them up (I don't even think they are 100% parallel to the ground when I'm standing up at the top).

Maybe I should try doing this stretch every morning?

Hey Porscha! Yeah maybe we just need to go DEEPER with a foam roller if the band isnt enough. You should be able to lay on the ground on your side and literally drive that foam roller into your lat and roll up and down.

Just make sure to do both sides. If you want to upload a video of you doing it I can make sure you are doing it right.

But as rule of thumb, if it hurts.. you are doing it right!!
