Should I cut or lean bulk?

    November 9, 2019, 11:40 am

    Hi,

I am an 6'1 18 year old male that weights around 155 pounds. I've been fat all my life and cut from 220 pounds down to where I am now but in a unhealthy way. Therefore, i have some body fat stored and little muscle. I wanted to know if you guys think I should continue to cut to a lower body fat percentage or should I bulk with a 250 calories surplus? My issue with cutting is that I feel that going down to the 130-140s range in pounds as a 6'1 person will make me look extremely weak/anorexic, but I'm wiling to go down.

    Thanks

@vinayakswaroop I would go with maintaining or bulking, for sure. At your age (and if you're still quite new to lifting) you should be able to add muscle while reducing your overall body fat. If bulking and gaining muscle is a goal of yours, definitely get into a small surplus of 250 - 500 calories so you can start adding size.

Are you using the @mealplan app?
