I used to always be large during my childhood. It took some time to finally decide to do something about it. After struggling from the ages of 14 - 22 to lose weight, on June 20th 2018, I was 98kgs. Even though I played sports like rugby or hockey in highschool. Even though there was some muscle, a lot of it was fat and I wasn't pleased with myself so I decided to really start my journey. The complete works for 1 year, otherwise I was going to quit forever. I was measuring calories, giving up alcohol, watching macros. The works. Eventually it did help and by June 2020 I'm 73kgs with a much lower body fat percentage, a much larger muscle mass and a lot more confidence. But now? I wanna get on the next leg of the journey and get ripped! Currently I do not measure my calories as much as I used to, but I think to reach the next level I may need to start doing that again and may nee to give up alcohol for a few month again. I mainly focus on body-weight exercises mostly now because of COVID19 closing all the gyms! However I was doing steady-state cardio and body-weight exercises before COVID (Oct - March) to decrease my weight, but my plan was to transition into muscle training in April but... #COVID! My main goals are to trim off the last layer of fat as I can see my abs wanting to peek through (and even sometimes they do!) and not have to have "certain angles/poses" for my Instagram pics! As well as build muscle without a gym (for now) so that I can increase in overall muscle size. A side note is that it tends to be difficult for me to gain muscle as I fear gaining the fat that I lost. This leads to me usually under eating for muscle growth. But hopefully with guidance I can change that around.
