Faux Breadsticks are the best thing since sliced bread!
Made with Cauliflower!
Tastes like Bread … but is a fraction of the calories, carbs, fat and guilt!
Serving Size: 1 Slice
Protein: 1.6 grams
Carbs: 3.2 grams
Fat: 1.5 grams
1 cauliflower head (6-7")
3/4 cup of Daiya Dairy Free Mozzarella Style Shreds (or you can use nutritional yeast)
A dash of dehydrated minced garlic flakes
Salt Free Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning
1 TBSP of Molly McButter butter sprinkles. (Don’t freak out! It’s not dairy free, and if you don’t like this product, then don’t use it!) I added Molly McButter because it tasted Molly McBetter.
Toast the breadsticks to make them crunchy
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Cut up the cauliflower, and remove the stalk.
Place the cut up cauliflower in a blender/food processor, or grate it. You may need to shake the blender to make sure the chunks are blended properly (also be careful not to over-fill your blender.
Put the processed cauliflower into a bowl.
Repeat process until all cauliflower is blended and in the bowl.
Add both eggs, 1/2 cup of cheese and garlic flakes to the cauliflower and mix to form a dough.
Spread the dough out on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Cook in the oven for 40-ish minutes.
Once cooked to a nice brown colour, take another tray with parchment, put in on top of the cauliflower bread, and flip it.
Remove the parchment paper, and sprinkle with remaining cheese and seasoning.
Put it back in the oven for 10 minutes.
Slice it into approximately 20 pieces and serve.
