Ive gained 4 lbs in the last 7 days. I track my foods and im training more than ever.

Body looks good and i feel strong. Only change the last week is i started using creatine like 9 days ago. First week ive been using 10g im now using 6g a day.

Can this small change actually account for the gain.... weight been the same for 2 days now so i dont think im gaining anymore....

Creatine causes your body to reatain water. I gain 4-8lbs body weight when I use creatine regularly. Is 7 days enough to build up in your body? Sure but is it long enough to gain 4lbs? It is possible. Don't just track body weight but track body fat as well.

I have been training coming up on 6 years and have made some great gainz. I've done a lot of trial and error on myself as well as learned from others and through research online. I've come along way in strength and size since I've started. I will continue to learn and make myself better each day. Your body weight fluctuates day to day anyway. You can see those kind of changes in one day depending on when you weigh yourself, how you sleep, and what you ate the day before.

Check your weight once a week, on the same day, at the same time. That will give you the most accurate result of what your weight really is doing.

Naturally creatine will cause an increase in weight when you start using it though. It doesn't constantly make you gain an extra pound or anything every week though. It's an initial increase, then that's it.

Kim,

Aaron and Scott are correct - Creatine increases interstitial water WITHIN the muscle. This increased water makes the muscles look bigger and fuller. Creatine is a pre-cursor to ATP which is the muscle's primary anaerobic energy supply which is how it helps increase strength of muscular contractions. This added water weight will show up when you weigh yourself expecially after you have taken creatine.

As for weighing yourself, to get your "true" daily weight you must weigh yourself naked first thing in the morning when you wake up and preferrably after emptying your bladder and bowels. Your water weight fluctuates throughout the day due to food and water consumption and hormone levles. Only first thing in the morning after you wake up will you register your true weight at stasis.

Thanks all.

Started to lose weight again.... first time ever ive used creatine but i think the effect is good on me cuz im recovering faster from workouts also and is less sore... Granted my technique is also getting better by the day...

Overall i just feel so fucking strong/better opposed to when i just did karate daily.

The karate + weight training is really doing wonders for me right now... and im defently getting some of the beginner gains..... Might even post a picture soon... when i get a little more confidense as i still see myself like i was before i started training and losing weight....

I know its just in my head cuz my clothes dont fit anymore( to big) and even my trainers are noticing both my strength + loss.

2017 is going to be my year!

:)

Merry X-mas and a happy new year to all!

I would say so. The creatine can have that effect on your body.
