hey guys i had a question about sleeping and muscle growth a couple or weeks ago i got another question about it and see what your guys opinion on it is

so basically imagine someone takes a nap at like 5pm for 2 hours or so not tired just wants to nap and then wakes up at 7 pm and then goes bed at 11 pm and wakes 5 am without an alarm and feels fresh would this be optimal for muscle growth or its not good at all would like your guys take on it

I will also like to add that im on PEDS

Sleep is sleep! I wouldnt worry about it to much. I go to bed at 10 probably fall asleep around 10:30 and wake up at 4:30 for work. So I usually get 6 hours of sleep and I keep my calories at 200 above maint. and I still get a 1/4 to 1/2 pound everyweek which is right on par. They say 8 is prime which it proabably is but this is what i got to work with. There are some really buff guys out there who gets crappy amount of sleep. Bodies can adapt if it needs too. The goal is to stay consistent over the long run. My first time which isn't very long ago to bulk I worried about getting sleep so bad it would keep me up at night. I would take tylonal pm to help get my gains. Now I just don't worry about it. Stay consistent to your diet and work out and go to bed at a reasonable time you will make gains

Sounds like a biphasic sleeping routine. Should work since you're doing a 2 hour nap plus a 6 hour main sleep. Plus the PEDs will make a big difference for your recovery. As long as you're consistent with this setup I can see this working very well.

Ohh okay beautiful no i dont constantly do biphasic sleep Monday to friday i try get 8-9 hours sleep at night and since i know im going out on a saturday or a sunday i try get a little nap in before i go out due to working saturday and sunday and plus would my body still be releasing growth hormone due to biphasic sleep because apparently u need 8 hours plus night rest for that or biphasic is just as good

Some good input already. Getting 8 hours of consecutive sleeping hours is probably optimal, but if it doesn't happen and you only get 6, PLUS it's only at the weekends, it won't have a major impact. Will it be as good as results you could get with 8 hours? Maybe not. But it won't be bad per-say. If you are feeling refreshed every day and never feel exchausted or tired from your sleep schedule I don't see it being an issue.
