No worries my friend. Sounds like you are not contrating your core while doing the plank. You need to pull your stomach in and SQUEEZE. There is an exercise called a STOMACH VACUUM that also really helps with this. I will make a video about it.

But don't worry, you just need to contract your core more during the plank. It is normal.

    Hey Davy,

To be 100% honest you can do almost any routine as a beginner. You just need to adjust it to your intensity level.

For this program, just try to do as many sets and reps as you can per workout. Once you've finished the 30 days, you can do the entire program again and try to do even more reps per set for the exercises.

If you need a complete list of the routines and the PDF calendar, you can find them all here.

    Hey Scott!
I'm on day 15 of the program, and i'm seeing results already! :-)
But i was wondering what you would advise to do after i've completed the program? Start the program all over? Or move into the "Be fit in 30 extreme" programs?
My goal is to get leaner overall and to get ready for the summer.
Keep up the great work Scott!

Hey Scott, I have a few questions.

Can this routine be done in addition to regular workout routines? Or will you overwork your body? I'm trying to do muscle building routines as well as this, and normally try to do some cardio like swimming laps as well. For the cardio, I have looked into HIIT a little and am trying to swim/run in that style. Also, I've read that doing abs and then an HIIT cardio after as soon as you wake up and before you eat can increase results, so I'm thinking about doing this in the morning when I wake up and then some cardio, and then hitting the gym later in the day. Is this okay or will I be doing too much?

Also, I'm a beginner and have just done a little personal research into this, so if you have any insight or suggestions feel free to let me know.

    Thanks,

    Josh

    Hey bro!

You can add this to your current weekly split for sure. Just make sure you are eating enough calories to handle all the training. Use the video on the @mealplan page to make sure you are eating enough.

As far as the empty stomach myth... it's a myth. I feel you would be more efficient if you did your workout and then hit the abs and 15 - 25 minutes of HIIT training after your workout.

Just focus on consuming the majority of your food before you hit the gym. Then finish off your macros with a balanced meal of protein, carbs and fat after you lift and stick to proteins and fats for the rest of the night.

Keep us posted on your results! Train hard!
