I have always been an athlete, living for competition. I played competitive Tennis through High School and College and have been an avid weightlifter for the last year and a half. In 2011, I graduated from University of California, San Diego with a degree in Aerospace engineering and started working in that field immediately upon graduation. I quickly saw that the working would take its toll. I gained weight and found I lacked the motivation to go to the gym. Fitness was always my passion, but it took a backseat to my job and it started to show. At the end of 2012, I decided to quit my engineering job and fully dive into the world of health and fitness. In my transformation, I have lost over 30 lbs and gained significant muscle. I am a firm believer of good old-fashioned hard work and discipline. If you ever need to find me, chances are I'm either in the gym or on the basketball court. I think the greatest results come from the smallest changes. During my transformation I would make one small change every week. Eventually, after about 3 months, my entire life had changed for the better even though I felt like I was changing only one thing at a time. I live by a simple principle, "There are no shortcuts for anything. If you want something, you are going to have to work for it. If you are looking to unlock the next level in your fitness, you will need to become obsessed and unlock the next level both in your motivation and work ethic.” My friends often joke that I seem to always do things the hardest way possible, which is probably true. I love to challenge myself by constantly setting new goals. I am currently working towards competing in my first physique competition early next year.
