I subscribed to the site about a month or 2 ago and there is a lot .. i mean A LOT of helpfull videos, forum and tips, i am learning but some times get over welmed with all the information.

Over the last 10 years i have started and failed this journey hundreds of times if not more!! The beginiing of OCtober of 2017 i started once again at 270LBS.. currently i am at 236LBS.

I am looking to loose weight*, tone up*(*main Goal) and bulk up. I read that cardio after working out will negate the workout, Is that true or jsut another dumb thing fro mthe internet?

should i focus more on just cardio till i get to my goal weight which i would like to get down to about 200.. then gain some back in muslce.

Thank You for your help

Hey man, it's OK, we all hit bumps in the road here and there, but you eventually get past them, and you just have to try your best to maintain that consistency and dedication!! Take your time with all the info here, but you can always post questions like this for help too 😊

I think you posted this question on my board too, right? Anyway, I'll answer here too. There's nothing wrong with cardio after working out. That's the best time to do it, in my opinion. It only needs to be 15-20 minutes of HIIT 2-3 times a week, and as long as your diet is right, you won't see too much muscle loss or any at all. The main thing that would lead to too much muscle loss is being in too big of a deficit, and/or not getting enough protein.

So make sure you keep that protein high (around 1.5g per pound of lean bodyweight AT LEAST), and stay in a 250-500 calorie deificit. So you can still workout now AND do cardio, and then when you want to go back into a lean bulking phase, it will just be about increasing your calories to have you in a slight surplus to gain muscle.
