When I first tried a 16" box jump it was pitiful to say the least :-(

Having Fibromyalgia I have an enhanced alertness to danger, so making a substantial jump like this when you're body is trying its best to hold you back is very difficult.

I was not ready 4 weeks ago, I needed to continue adding strength to my legs and also desensitize myself by growing my confidence. I started by box-jumping using a Reebok Step. It was so difficult, felt so unnatural, my brain was not happy, but I persisted.

Today I decided to try the 16 inch box and BOOOOM, 3Sets 12 Reps!!!

The moral of this story for me is that "Gains Don't Come For Free"

Stick that on a T-shirt Scott #HTH

Now at 18 Inches!

So pleased with myself today after adding another 2 inches to my box-jump. Started my first set of 12reps at 16 and after finishing I felt strong and confident so thought I'd give 18 ago. 3 sets 12 reps with 60 seconds rest I was burnt out, but happy :-)

You are doing a great job overcoming your Fibromyalgia buddy! I like the way you are pushing yourself even though your body doesn't want to do it because of pain. You have a strong mind so continue using the power of your mind to make things happen! You will be amazed after few months from now that you are able to accomplish a lot of things and maybe seeing yourself boxjumping 12 times on a 36 inch platform! Looking forward to see you triumph! Way to go brotha! #HTH
