Hello everyone.

I have been noticing that my right back gets sore quite easily and that my right trap is smaller comparing to the left one.

Also, I noticed this month that my right hip stands slightly higher than the left one. Could that be because of the trap? I'm quite confused.

In any case, what do you think I should do to even out my traps?

Thank you for the help ^^

when you upload a photo... make sure it isnt too big!. You may have to shrink it... also... if that happens... let me know so I can have it fixed.

I uploaded a photo with no problems.

Try this for your TRAPS!

Then, once you get those photos we can look at your hips. Are you stretching?

Thanks for the video, man! I'm doing Shrugs but I will also add the upright row to my routine

Ok, I made it!

So here are my traps. I' am pulling my shoulders forward in this picture

see what I mean? the right one is quite atrophic.

and here is my back. If you see, it looks like my spin is taking a turn left on my lower back. I took this picture trying to stand as straight as possible. I do stretch every time and I also started doing Yoga. I'm a complete newbie to weights (as you can see :P) I started lifting 4 weeks ago.

thanks for the help :)

Just an imbalance man you'll work it out. Just hit some shrugs and upright rows with dumbells and keep the weight even. As far as your hip, more than likely just the way you were made so I wouldn't worry about it. Traps hold up your shoulders not your hips.

I have been training coming up on 6 years and have made some great gainz. I've done a lot of trial and error on myself as well as learned from others and through research online. I've come along way in strength and size since I've started. I will continue to learn and make myself better each day. Thanks man. Do you think I should add some more reps for my right side or will it be balanced anyway in the long run?

Yeah it usually balances out by itself. Dont need to add any extra reps, at least not at first, if it takes ages and you still see the imbalance then you might wanna throw that in.

If you aren't experiencing back pain, then you should be fine. I've got a similar issue with my Quads where my left is smaller than my right, but it's working itself out.

Have you ever been checked for scoliosis? I can't remember where I read it, but people can have very minor cases. A physical check up with a doctor can ease some worrues.

I haven't been checked for scoliosis but I have been in an orthopedic many times for other issues. I would assume that if I did have it he woud have noticed?

Not necessarily, but I can only go by my experiences with the doctor. My typical visit is only for what my ailments are, not necessarily anything else unless they notice something. I would just bring it up and see what they say.

Looks like you have some good responses :-)

It may even out over time, but definitely keep doing your stretching, and if you are worried about it maybe try some of these techinques if you aren't already.

You might even want to try some dumbbell upright rows so that you are working each trap unilaterally (one at a time). Your more dominant trap may be taking over the majority of the exercise.
