Hello everyone! As the title describes, I have been experiencing considerable pain when doing bicep curls. It was not much of an issue before, but as the weight increased, so did the pain. The location of the pain seems to be on the bone that connects to the elbow (is it called ulna?) and goes up to the wrist.  I absolutely cannot do this exercise with a straight bar, the pain is simply too much with that. I have tried with an EZ bar but the issue is still there, although not as bad as with a straightbar. Dumbells and cables cause the least amount of pain, however the pain is still present. I have tried having my wrists bent back so as to deactivate the forearm and I also make sure I don't squeeze the bar/dumbells too much but nothing seems to work completely. This, to me, seems more like an injury, the kind that doesn't go away by itself. Is there anything else I can do to alleviate this?

This actually used to happen to me in my early days of lifting. The bone in the forearm is under a lot of pressure as you curl, especially as you curl heavier and heavier. It will take time.. but the pain will stop. Bones ONLY get stronger when they are places under heavy stress. So maybe you won't be able to lift your MAX right now, but don't stop curling with the exercises thaat bother you. Keep at it and it will go away in time. I promise!

Some people I have asked said that too, thanks for the response! I will try that and hopefully persevere.
