I'd love to see more of us ladies posting in here! I know most of Scott's fans are the guys but I know I've seen some ladies or that there are girlfriends of those guys around here. Let's expand that part of Scott's community and help each other in the gym!

I agree!  I think we just need to lead them to the forums! :)

Also, you need to put a pick up in your profile and crop it for both your main image and the icon image.  I think it will help with the ladies feeling more welcome when they see a lady face on your profile :)

I totallly argee with this. I want to see the lady hermanites in this community getting into action. I want to see more of the ladies posting threads, doing the contest, posting articles, showing their results, and anything that can help the ladies in this community grow and learn together. I will definitely be posting tons of content and answering as many questions from the lady hermanites as I can. I also think it would be nice to get some suggestions from the ladies going. I want to know what you girls are interested in learning about and how this community can suite your needs more. Please comment with any ideas you have and all the questions you would like answered.

I am new to Scott Herman Fitness and have a real problem getting started and then staying on track. Seems I always have an excuse! I enjoy the results but life always seems to get in my way. I also have severe chronic bronchitis and uncontrolled asthma. Encouragement from a group like this might be just what I need! Good Luck Ladies!

Hi everyone, I too am completely new to Scott Herman Fitness...infact i am new to ANY fitness forum. I found Scott's videos on Youtube when googling proper squat technique (the bane of my life!) i was so impressed I followed the facebook link to this site.

I'm not sure what i'm hoping to gain by being a member but I get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of training programmes and information out there, it would be nice to have one "go-to" site. i think this could be it! ;)

This is definitely the site you’re looking for! I used to get very overwhelmed trying to search youtube and forums for how to do a certain exercise. Then after I found the right one, I would have to start the search all over again on the next exercise or fitness tip.

After I started following Scott a couple of years ago I noticed he had pretty much any “how-to” video you could ask for. I just joined the site a few months ago and I really love the fact that he has his whole database in one site. The body diagram is really easy to use when you have no idea what the exercise is called.

If you have any questions at all feel free to ask it here in the forums! We are all very friendly and are trying to help each other out any way we can. Scott is really good at replaying to people as well. Welcome to the site :)

2 year #SHF athlete I love to train hard and help others when they want it.

First of all, welcome to SHF!

Don't know if this helps, but over the years I've been finding that when I start a new program, I just have to dive in head first. Roll out of bed, stretch out, and hit the gym! Pick a simple program that you like and can stick to, something that suits your level of fitness. And as you progress, you can modify, add new exercises, increase frequency and intensity, etc. But more importantly, you have to pick a program that you believe in and you have to believe in your training and the process, and if you have them, your coaches as well. If you don't believe in it, why do it? Also, be sure to consult a health physician before starting a new program. Start light and work your way up if you're a beginner or if you're just getting back into the swing of things.

Surround yourself with good people that will support you and keep you accountable. But more importantly, don't allow yourself to make excuses. Everyone can make a hundred excuses before they even get out of bed, but excuses don't get you your desired results. Figure out why you want to achieve the things that you want to achieve. If you need to write it down and keep it on a piece of paper so you can remind yourself every now and then why you're working so hard to accomplish what it is that you want to accomplish. Write down your goals on a piece of paper and every day before you get out of bed, read that piece of paper. Envision yourself conquering that goal. And don't be afraid to break that big, main goal up into small daily goals - things like going to the gym in the morning or after work, going on a walk during your break, hitting your macros for the day, etc. Before you know it, conquering all these small goals will become habit and they'll bring you closer and closer to that vision you have for yourself.

Hope this helped!

Hey EM79!!!!! So good to see another lady in the community! We can definitely help you with training, nutrition, or just some motivation!!! The goal is to have a supportive group where we can talk, learn and help each other achieve our goals! Let us know if you have questions.

Also, we are working on improving our News Feed which should become an awesome spot for us to post about workouts, ask questions, post pics and anything else that might help!
