A little background. I started to cut a long time ago but I just done it wrong (Too much cardio) I went from 176 pounds to 147 pounds . From then on I bulked from 147 pounds to 169 pounds. I just wanted to know now If I should continue bulking or do a moderate cut (Not aggressive). I've always preferred the leaner physique however I don't want to be too skinny. Current lifts are a 200 pound bench, 132 OHP.

@zain1221 How long have you been lifting for overall? You might be able to add some muscle mass while reducing your overall body fat % if you do it with lean gains and just a very slight surplus!

Also, what is your main goal right now? To be leaner, or bigger?

Thanks for the reply Scott. I've been lifting seriously for around 2 years now. I've always preferred the leaner look tbh.

@zain1221 You're welcome!

If you've been lifting seriously for 2 years, I'd suggest a bit of a cut first. Get your body fat % down a bit to more like 12 - 15% and then go into a bulk from there. Especially if you prefer the leaner look!

One more question Scott. I'm starting on around 2500 calories because I don't want to start too low. I play soccer once or twice a week and it's around 1 hour and a bit of sprinting, jogging and walking. It's quite intense. Should I increase my calories by a bit on those days as I don't want to catabolize any muscle or should I just leave it at 2500?

@zain1221 If it's only once or twice a week you can probably keep the calories the same on those days while you're trying to lose weight. Maybe add an extra 100 - 200 calories on those days if you notice your weight dropping too quickly though!

Sorry Scott I just have one last question. What would you estimate to be my body fat in that picture?
