Hello all,

I'm Jason. I've been following Scott on YouTube since about April of this year when I first started getting into the gym. I started on a bet with my friend who also wanted to lose some weight. Basically, we did it all wrong. Picked an advanced program and made a bet with one another miss a day you owe the other one $20 (per day missed). We were both pretty broke so the incentive was solid, but the program wasnt built for us. Being newbies we both had great results I lost 35 lbs and my big 3 all more than doubled through the program so there were results just not what I was looking for.

Anywho, watched a video where scott referenced beginner programs vs advanced programs and who should do what and why. Came here and the last 3 weeks I have been doing the basic workout program listed in the "Beginners guide" growth has been noticeable and intense just doing this.

Busy home life limits my workout times and I am currently doing 5 am workouts 4x per week and cardio has unfortunately fallen at the wayside for the moment.

Last I remember hearing, the Full Body Program was looking like mid November release but this was a ways back and I havent heard official release details recently. Super excited for this one. I think it's just what I need.

What says you Scott Herman, any official updates on the release of Full Body Program?

Any suggestions on picking a plan are welcomed from all:

Current body specs:

6'1"

206 lbs

~20% bf

Macros:

P: 236

F: 55

C: 211 (tried dropping this to around 130 and raising P and F but energy went to doodoo)

Hi !

I know this is kind of at the side of the topic you are asking, but Im betting Scott will cover the other part nicely !

I just wanted to say that cardio is by far more important than strenght training. And I (like many others) favor strenght training over cardio. But it is very important to make time for it. Since you have 4 workouts a week it might be better to do at least one of these sessions as cardio (preferably 2). The reason is that cardio overall increases the efficiency of your lungs and hearth and make everyday life easier and less stressfull. It also makes it easier to drop bodyfat and to achieve a more vascular look.

Overall cardio is one of the best things you can do for your own health. Like I said I dont really enjoy it all that much myself and I prefer lifting weights. However I understand that cardio infact is more important to my health than strenght training.

Cardio CAN be fun though, it doesnt have to be running on the treadmill. Finding some form of cardio that you enjoy will help alot, I for one perfer cycling and swimming.

Just thought id get my two cents on the topic ! Great to see a new face on the site ! Have a nice day mate !

Thanks William! I have definitely neglected my cardio since jumping off the program we started on. It called for 40-50 minutes 7 days a week (12 week program) and I didnt realize the idiocracy of that for quite some time. I kinda burnt myself out on it and have been fighting for motivation to get back on the horse in that regard haha.

Guess it's time to suck it up buttercup and get to it.

@Jtlockhart1 Hey man! Just so you know, you accidentaly created this thread twice, so I deleted the other thread which didn't have any responses.

Glad to hear you've been making good progress on the beginner's guide! I've been working as much as I can on the Full Body program. Not sure I will have it out as soon as the middle of November. But my aim is going to be to have it out before the end of this year, or early January 2019!

If you're still seeing progress with the beginner's guide, there's no reason to change to anything else just yet anyway. But if you did feel like something more advanced, you could move to the PPL program, which would give you a bit more focus on increasing your big lifts again as well as still adding muscle! Have you looked at the PPL program?

Also, your macros don't sound too bad, but I'd like to see the fat a bit higher. Fat is important for healthy testosterone levels. Your protein seems perfect, it's right in between that 1.2g - 1.5g per pound of lean body weight. Maybe just keep the protein where it is, but boost the fat and reduce the carbs to about 150g. If your fat intake is high enough, it should give you just enough energy to go about your days and training sessions.

Just keep in mind that if you're cutting, you will obviously be eating LESS than what your body needs in order to lose that fat. Therefore it's normal to feel a bit more tired and sluggish, because you're not giving your body what it needs (but on purpose).

Hope that all makes sense!
