Hey Scott!

So in a few days im going to a 1 month vacation with my family and of course i wont have acces to a gym.

My plan for this is to do anabolic aliens 5 min workout 4 sets every muscle group, expect chest ( ill get into that later) of course I will split some muscle groups for 1 day and the rest for another to get the enough rest.

for example, ill do chest on Monday and legs on Tuesday and so on...

Now for the question

I'm also wondering would it benefit me if i do 300 push-ups during this time 4 days a week,

may sound silly what im asking but im planning to do 300 pushups when i train chest / i'll split it lets say i do my max amount of pushups then rest 2-3 minutes and i do this until i hit 300 pushups.

would it benefit me doing this type of training or should i just stick to anabolic aliens while doing chest.

Some say to do this everyday but i think it is a bad idea to do it everyday since you need to recover to so would it be better if i do it 3-4 days a week for the time im on vacation.

Also I've been training for 7 months (started when i turned 14) and I'm wondering if I'll be able to keep some size and strength during my time off by doing bodyweight and eating in a slight surplus.

Thanks and i hope you will be able to help me : P

@xxdennismcxx I think doing the bodyweight workouts from the Anabolic Aliens will be a great way to keep yourself active while on holiday! I also have a few bodyweight only routines in the @exclusive section if you decide you want to check those out!

You're right about the push-ups.. doing them everyday isn't the best idea. Doing 300 is a lot, and when you think about it, you probably wouldn't even do that much volume in a regular chest session, right? So doing 300 push-ups even 3-4 days during the week is probably unecessary. If you were to do 100 reps 3-4 days during the week, that would work out to probably a better amount of volume per week.

Just always make sure you have at least 1 day's rest in-between training your chest, and if you want to, definitely add some of the exercises in from the Alien's bodyweight workout just to switch things up.

As long as you are still eating at maintenance or that slight surplus, AND you are training and giving your muscles a reason to stay, yes you will be able to maintain while on vacation! Don't forget to get enough protein as well 💪
