I suffer from chronic pain in my knees, hips and one of my shoulders.
Because of this I can really struggle with motivation on leg and back day, any tips to stay motivated when thetpain is bad?

Do you mean chronic pain? Because I think the first thing you need to do is find out why you are suffering pain in these areas. Have you looked into it much? For example, is it muscle pain? Joint pain? Do you only get it when you exercise, or is it painful just in general?
Yeah i meant chronic pain.
Hurts all the time in the joints. I have seen surgeons but now in a waiting list to see a ryhmatologist to see if i have an inflammatory condition.
Sorry to hear that man. Hope you are able to see the surgeons soon to see what is really going on and get it fixed! In the meantime.. is there any kind of lower body work you can do without that pain? Bodyweight stuff, or not really?
Woops forgot to reply. My Knees normally ache constantly, a big problem i have normally is one day i can do anything and it not agrivate them and then the next time i train them they they will get aggrevated. It makes it really difficult to motivate myself to train them. I also have hip pain which once can get aggrevated doing the simplist of stuff. My last pain is in my shoulder which once again is hit and miss, somedays doing a particular exercise wont cause be any problem but then the next time its just to painful to do.
Gt my appoinment through today to see the specalist to see if i have any immflamatory issues, but that appointment isnt until the end of may.
Excuse the spelling :P
Man that is rough. Believe it or not your diet can help with inflamation issues. If you don't have enough healthy fats in your diet, like monounsaturated and omega 3s, then that could be a problem because they are good for being anti-inflamatories. I'd also suggest you maybe consider taking some glucosamine or something if it's joint issues, as that might help a bit too.
But the best thing would be to see the specialist. Too bad it's still a couple of months away :-/
Managed to get a cancellation appointment and got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Which officially means I'm stuck with the pain.
Oh man.. I'm really sorry to hear that Simon.. there's nothing they can do?
Have to go to the pain clinic to get new medication, but other than that I'm stuck in pain.
The shoulder pain is really affecting my chest and back day. Really need to work on them gains 💪
That is no good at all man. You have to take that medication basically forever now? Will it help with the pain so you can still workout at least?
Yeah I'll be on the pain medication for ever. Hoping it will help with my training but don't know for sure.
No pain no gains 😋
Got to attempt chest and triceps tomorrow last few sessions have been terrible So fingers crossed for a good session
My fingers and toes are crossed for you too man! I hope this doesn't derail your fitness goals, keep pushing hard!
Had a good chest session, not my best but definitely better than I have been having 💪
Was going well until the bench press once I got to 60kg my hand started really hurting so stopped there but everything else went perfectly
That still sounds like progress to me @Simon87, and that is good man! Got to focus on the positives 😠ðŸ‹
I've now been diagnosed with osteoarthritis as well. Pain is intense today so skipped leg day and went in the pool for a swim.
Also I've been try to comment on stuff using the app but it won't actually post
That really sounds awful Simon. But swimming can still be good for the body, not just for cardio, because you will get a bit of resistance from the water!
That is weird about the app.. but those problems will be gone once version 2.0 of the app launches and you can make comments through there!!
