Has anyone here had any experience with a hip shift in the deadlift? It seems to be a common problem with the squat, however I've recently noticed that I have this problem with the deadlift. I first noticed this problem when deadlifting in the mirror the other day, that my right knee was an inch past my left knee. So I asked a buddy to check my form from my rear, and he confirmed that my butt shifts to the right as soon as I bend down and put my hands on the bar. NOTE: my feet and toes are evenly aligned. I have no idea how much more this lateral hip shift occurs when I am actually pulling. I usually pull around 295-335 for sets/ reps.

Now that I am concious of this, are there any exercises that would help fix this, other than simply trying to deadlift with evenly placed hips? Shifting back to the left almost feels unatural and difficult in deadlift setup. What could be the cause of this? A week left hip and dominant right side? If anyone has any experience, tips, and stretches/excercises for this it would be greatly appreicated... I would like to fix this ASAP.
