    Deadlift form check

@nitrodaxs Your form is kind of good, but kind of bad. It's kind of good because your back stays mostly neutral - there's no arch in your lower back which is great.

However, the bad aspects are that your hips shoot up way too fast. If you go to 0:12 in the video you get into a great position to pull the weight, but then your hips come up straight away which takes away a lot of leg drive and could be making your lower back take a lot of the strain from your pull. A deadlift should actually be you pushing the Earth away, to an extent.

The other small problem is your head position. Try to keep your entire spine (from your head to your butt) neutral. That means keeping your head down rather than jerking it up to watch yourself pull the weight. Try to keep your chin tucked. The position your neck is in isn't as much of a problem as your hips rising too fast though.

Deficit deadlifts can help with rectifying your hip problem.
