I live at home with my two sisters and both are vegetarian and are reluctant to allow meat in the house. I have tried to increase my protein intake for muscle growth through alternate protein sources such as Quorn, Tofu and Soya but I have not found it easy to meet my Macros doing so, does anyone have any tips on high protein sources for vegetarians.

Hey @ecoby,

Would it be easy for you to buy some protein bars? They are quite small and easy to hide :)

Also, buying a protein powder shouldnt be a problem. Its not like you keep pork chops and fish in the house. Whey protein is almost a solid state of milk and your sisters shouldnt mind too much about that. You can also say that the whey protein is a vegetarian product :)

Ed,

Howabout eggs and fish? Are they 100% militant Vegan or do they allow anything that is not red or white meat? Milk is also a good source of protein and most vegans have no issue with it.

You could try greek yoghurt (if dairy is OK), or try some quinoa too!

It's not an amazing source like the ideas listed above, but it will help boost those protein levels a bit more! :)

Just to add to what the other guys have said there are plenty more vegetarian options available including;
Seeds (Hemp, chia, pumpkin, squash, watermelon etc.)
Nuts (peanuts and almonds are highest)
Beans (kidney, soy, white, black, fava)
and last but not least some spreads like hummus or peanut butter.

Hope this helps you further.
