Stumbled upon a 'new' supplement the other day...or at least new to me. Its call 'Bio-Grow' by Isotori. It has been touted online as the best thing since Creatine.....anyone on here used it/know anyone who has/know much about it? If so whats the deal and is it legit?

Cheers all

Matt,

It sounds more like marketing hype. Peptides are proteins and every protein powder has them. I looked at the studies on their website and while Dr Patrick Jacobs is a real PhD in Florida, he is also owner of Superior Performance which provides clinical research services. The problem with this is they are paid to provide an analysis and opinion of a product. Unlike Consumer's Union which accepts no fees - the people who write Consumer Reports - paid testing will obviously produce a positive analysis.

I think in the long run it is just an average protein powder with above average marketing and hype to justify its higher price. The choice is yours but don't expect steroid like results as both the website and the "study" suggest :-)

Im automatically weary of hyped products...a bit less so if its from a handfull of companies I trust...Isotori is not one of those compaies as Ive never used anyhting by them. the few reviews Ive seen are by people I dont really know and have no idea there motives or morales with pushing supplements etc.

I just like being informed and trying different things so I can have an informed opinion on them....honestly there arent many supplements I find very effective. I did order a 2 containers and Ill give it the old college try and see how it goes.

The inpression I get is its kind of for lack of a better term and very simply a concentrated protein almost....I dont know...interested to hear what others have to say.

Well that is a red flag right there. There is obviously something in there in some form that is or is derived from a banned substance.

Well, as an update....

After a breif period away from the gym....I started back on Nov 18th.

As far as supplements Im taking only protein, creatine, and the a/m Bio-Grow.

I must say...I dont know if it is due to the newb gaind of getting back in the gym, from the creatine, or the Bio-Grow...or all three; but, I certainly feel larger and fuller, both when Im in the gym and on off days after only a cpl of weeks.

Ive had the newb gains after periods off from the gym and getting back at it, and Ive used creatine here and there before(the same brand/dosage) that I ahvent been completely sold on, but this certainly feels different....fells better....its strange...but I like it. I cant say Ive noticed any crazy strength gains personally, or any real differance in recovery time or reduced DOMS or anything like that....just find I look and feel much larger.

I was certainly a skeptic, and still kind of am...I plan of finishing the amount I have then just working out for a few months then try another cycle of Bio-Grow...that second cycle should really tell the story. And Ill try to post again after that for anyone who is interested.

Cheers...

Chris Jones from PoG/Pump chasers used to be sponsored by isatori and used it, he still uses it now even though they no longer sponsor him, because he has a ton of it left over which is probably the only reason why.

Apparently it helps increase protein absorbsion or something like that, seems a bit of a gimmick though really.

Creatine, Protein and multivits are the only supps I use, i dont really believe the hype behind Test aiders/boosters, Diet pills, etc.

Yup, Im kinda the same way...generally Im a skeptic but I usually try things at least once just to say I did, and to confirm my thoughts they are shit...typically the only things i use are Protein and the odd container of AA as a intra workout and creatine(and Im really not crazy about the stuff). I even think most MV's are crap and useless. Ive had friends that have used fat pills, test and hormone shit, vitamins, glutamine, CLA, various acids etc etc etc....they praise the hell out of them, I try them and get nothing except less money in my bank account... was expecting the same from this stuff...but I thought Id try it.

Ive seen and heard a few guys that are both sponsored by them and a few guys that are not. Obviously you cant really trust the sponsored guys unless they have a really respected name for no BS(not many have that with me) And reviews/thoughts are kinda mixed from others, but so far at least some of the possitive things that they have said about it, I have noticed(except faster recovery, and diminished DOMS...dont notice that at all). Im interested to see how the trial goes after Im off it for a bit and when it is the only thing I change in my diet.

Is it the gold card....no, certainly still does not exist....but Im not saying its garbage either... Im intreagued by it.
