I have been lifting for about 2 years now. What i noticed is that younger guys who have lifted only as much as me have harher looking and feeling skin than mine. I have a soft feel to my skin but i lift proper. Even my muscles don't feel hard or tight. What can I do to improve hardness and tightness in my skin? Really in the dark right now.

It could just be down to body fat percentage. If they are leaner than you, then you'll be able to see and feel the muscles easier. In terms of the tightness of your skin, that's definitely going to be down to body fat percentage. Do you know what your current bf% is?

I agree with Scott, the leaner you are the "harder" you will look. However, the amount of subcutaneous fat one carries (the fat directly below the skin) varies and is based on genetics. Some people will always have a harder more vascular look than others due to genetics. However, you can improve your look by losing as much body fat as possible.

Ironically, as you age (50 years and older) your skin thins out and you get more vascular provided you are not already overweight with high body fat.

I do not know my exact bf% but i can see light abs. Even the fat i have at some places on my body is not hard but soft. Maybe i need to inc muscle mass and lose fat after to look harder?

That's probably what will be needed. Fat will never feel hard, and of course it also depends on fat distribution - some people will hold more fat in different areas, so while one person might have lean arms and another person's arm aren't as lean, those two people could still have the same body fat percentage.

I would simply focus on yourself and your own journey - be the best you can be! You can also post a photo here if you want us to guesstimate your body fat % for you.

I say 10-13% body fat. Once you get below 8% that is another level. Don't worry about other people, most people in a gym do not even have this physique

I agree with @Zeke_BE, maybe as high as 15% but that would probably be max. But like we've already said, just focus on yourself, don't worry about matching others. If you want to get a bit tighter, you would need to lose some more body fat, but you're not fat as it is, so definitely may as well focus on bulking some more man! Get those gains!
