At my 17, want to grow tall

I am 17, 5 feet 5 inches. My grandpa(dad side) was 6"2' . what

Hey Alve,

How can we be of help to you? I do not know what your question is, but I can assume by looking at the title. You are asking if lifting weights stunts growth? This is nothing to worry about, that idea has been debunked several times and in fact there is no strong research supporting those claims. Your genetics will dictate how tall you will be, lifting isn't going to make you short. Hope this helps, and if you want to get more specific I'd be glad to clarify further.

Regarding your height, it's determined by genetics and as long as you are eating enough, you will grow to your potential. Weight lifting won't stune your growth, but there's also nothing you can do through exercise in terms of growing taller either. Check out this video.
