Hello, new to training here and looking for some help. I'm very overweight and need to get into shape. I have a weight bench, barbell, and 10pnd dumbbells. I don't know how many days I should work out and how many muscles I should work a day. Any help any experienced people could give me would be great and appreciated. Looking to go from 234 to 180 pounds.

@Alister If fat loss is your goal, and you're completely new to training, maybe start with the home program so you can focus solely on dropping weight first? Depends what your body fat % is.. but if it's quite high then that might be the best method.
If you want to do more full on routines with a focus on building muscle though, you can probably do the PPL program with what you have at home, with variations for exercises requiring a machine.. though you would probably want some heavier dumbbells.

Thank you Scott. I can get heavier dumbbells. Don't know my% but 34 years old, 5'10", 234 pounds. I could send a pic of that would help. But I've started doing bench press and bicep curls.

@Alister Sure you can post a picture if you like! If you're quite far above 20% then I'd suggest focusing purely on fat loss first, but you can still do exercises like the bench press and bicep curls, just that you would be doing more circuit training with the home program where you're bouncing from one exercise to the other in rounds.
