I know how hard it can be to find time to go to the gym. At the same time people get discouraged to workout at home, and are afraid they cannot get a good enough workout. Well here is a full body workout to destroy your muscles and leave you in a pool of sweat! Your energy stores should be depleted after this. Just remember to go as hard and as fast as you can with proper form.

Tabata Style (20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest)

8 Rounds Per Exercise (complete all 8 rounds before moving on to the next exercise)

1. Squat Jumps

2. Push-Ups

3. Burpees

4. Tricep Dips (use a chair or bench)

5. Pillow Crunch (place pillow under lower back)

Hope everyone enjoys this workout! Remember to keep track of your reps per round so you can beat your score next time! Another tip I have is to download an app on your phone with a tabata timer to make things easier. #HTH

Great idea! I have a bench and dumbbells at my house so I have a little more variety to my home workouts (I recommend everyone invests about $25 even for the basic set of dumbbells- cheap, you get 50 pounds, you can buy more for about $1 a pound, and they don't take a ton of room!), but I do keep the TUT and intensity high with little to no rest periods and it works great for me (and yes, I do feel extremely spent when I finish)! My workouts last about an hour or more though, and I only specify one muscle group, but the rest of it follows this pretty well! Keep up the good work!

Great job with the workout Jennifer!  Tabata style is definitely great for at home training when you dont have much to work with.  So far each Tabata video I have filmed has seriously kicked my butt!

Like that you used the pillow crunch.  Was that taken from my Ab Pillow extreme or do just two great minds think alike? haha

I loved it when I used to do one muscle group a day.   I felt like my workouts were a bit more hardcore.  But now that I focus on muscle, strength, AND endurance.  I have to do at least 2 per day to fit it all in.

Gains are great, but I just wish I had more time in the day! :) lol

Yeah, the only reason I do it all at once is because I only get about 4 hours between work and getting home and going to sleep to get ready for work the next night! But it works for me, I get my 7-8 hours a sleep before work, I do good at work, and I still get a killer workout! Took me a month to get into the swing of things, and NOW I'm focusing on fixing my meal plan (sodium is MAD high, but working at a convenience store, most of the food is PACKED with it, so I'm going to have to find MORE time to cook bulk food so I can just heat it up...or not since I just remembered our microwave broke and it'll take forever to get it replaced!)

You should upload all your food in the MEAL PLAN section of your NOTEBOOK.  Check out mine under the custom TAB.

Once you do it let me know so I can check it out and maybe make some helpful additions.

Thank you Scott:) I love tabata style a lot too. If Im short on time I will always do a workout like this. It definitely kicks my butt and makes me SO sore lol. I have used the pillow a lot of times for crunches, but I must say I did take this idea from your ab pillow extreme ;) I was even going to post a link to the ab pillow you had on your site, but wasnt sure if that would be okay lol.

I totally agree with that. It is nice to invest something into equipment you can use at home. I have so much stuff I need a studio for it lol, and hopefully one day I will have that:) This stuff is intense especially doing just one body part. I have my normal strength routine schedule where I do one body part, but I like to do doubles and through a second workout like this in. It gives me the cardio I need without having to go for a run all the time. Glad you liked the post! It is great that we have this forum to learn and talk with each other!
