First: How much water should I be drinking daily during weight loss? I found on Google to drink about 80oz of water a day for a fifteen year old boy who excersices 6x week. Is that enough? Side question: why exactly is water so important to fat loss?

Second: I workout 6x a week, and I have my macros and everything is great. However, the hockey season starts soon so I will be doing my regular workout PLUS hockey. I decided that after hockey I will drink a glass of milk, which has 106 cal (2.5 fat, 9p, 12c.) I estimated I would burn about 300cal with 50min on the ice, does that seem right? Imagine 1-10, where 1 is barely moving and 10 is skating ur guts out. In practice we do 1-2 for 10 minutes, 5-6 for about 20 min, 7-8 for about 10 min, and 9-10 for about 10min total. (We don't do these in this order lol). Is my estimate right, is 106 cal a good additional amount after hockey?

Thanks!

Marcus,

Too many people try to meet supposed "guidelines" of when to eat and how much, when to drink and how much. The amazing thing is that your body already has a way to tell you when it needs what - hunger and thirst. Eat when you are hungry and eat enough to satisfy but not stuff your appetite. Drink when you are thirsty and drink enough to satisfy your thirst.

Everyone's body is different as are their need for food and water. Let your own body guide you not stuff on Google and the internet. Your life will be much easier :-)
