    Training for a push-up contest

    Let's say for now that the rules are, as many pushups in 2 minutes as possible.

    What would be your approach to training. Would you do push-ups 3 times a day, every day? Or would you let your muscles have a few days in between training sessions to heal?

    Would you burn out and try to do more every time, or would you stop before failure and just do as many in a day as possible?

    What phases would your muscels go through in that 2 minutes, glucose burn, lactic acid production?

    Any thoughts and/or theories are welcome!
