    Advanced bodyweight workouts

    May 14, 2014, 4:40 pm

I saw Scott's facebook post about Advanced Bodyweight workouts and thought it was a good idea to share some exercises I know. I use to do gymnastics and love bodyweight workouts (I should really do them more often). I'll start off with a video of an exercise using still rings.

The video shows two different movements, the first couple of reps are a bit harder to do. The second movement (with bent arms) is more suitable for more reps (in my case). This exercises focusses mostly on your lats and core.

Wow Kevin. That's excellent and impressive. It's amazing the strength that doing gymnastics gives the people who do it.

I have this feeling that if this was me trying to do it, I'd be crashing down into the foam pit after a few seconds!

    Cheers

Thanks guys! @john I've searched the internet for competitions in the Netherlands, but there are not many of them, and it's also a pity that there are no true natural competitions. The first coming competition is in October I think. First I want to visit one to look at the competition and to decide in which class or sort of competition I want to join. Still not sure if I want to go for mens physique or bodybuilding.

Great vids! I've always wanted to try gymnastics myself. I never knew there was a Pineda on rings, but I know of the one on high bar.

Pineda on rings doesn't seem that populair, you hardly ever see it. The one I did on the video wasn't that good of a representation of the Pineda haha.

    Kevin,

Makes sense. In my opinion, if you find a true natural show you could do either physique or BB. You are ready or at a minimum 95% of the way there.
