I'm seeing alot of ads for igf 1 claiming it is 100% safe. Yet I have read a few articles saying high igf 1 levels can speed up aging and even promote cancer cell growth.

I'm not sure about this stuff I guess best bet it to stay away from questionable products like this?

@Herculesinwyo Unless you have been prescribed it for medical reasons, I suggest you stay away from it. I haven't done a lot of research on it but products that promote them are probably either trying to hype their own product up even though it won't really have any effect, or they have something illegal in there.

Either way, best to stay away from them.

Scott, as a trained age med doc i would simply say on IGF-1: We test this lab as an indirect marker for GH deficiency. If its low it generally corrects with testosterone replacement.  We do not specifically replace "IGF-1" w a supplement. Adult onset GH def. is a whole other subject, but the short answer even when diagnosed, its too expensive to replace. **My comments are for legal use of said medications and not related to what one might find purchased off the street.

@ironwillie Interesting stuff! So judging by that, as I said, any products trying to claim they increase IGF-1 are products to ignore.
