Hi guys

im in need of upping my daily fat content and by the looks of it various oils are the best way of doing this. The plan is to have extra virgin olive oil and flax seed oil daily. Reading the web has led me to believe that having 1-2 tablespoons a day of the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of the flaxseed oil is the best way to go for someone trying to put on mass. There doesn't appear to be a set time to take the oils apart from avoiding straight after a workout so my plan is to take one if each with my breakfast Shake and then the other tablespoon of olive oil before bed with my pre bed Shake.

Is the above both correct in terms of the right oils, the quantities to take and finally when to take them?

Thanks guys

Hey Binny!

I usually just cook my food with the olive oil and I take fish oil pills.

Another great way to boost FAT is to eat ALMONDS.  1 serving a day goes a long way!

Thanks Scott.

Cooking with the oil is a great shout but should I be in the position where the days meals are not cooked then is the way I suggested earlier right for mass?

Binny,

I agree with Scott - I cook all my food in olive oil.  I recommend eating fish to get your Omega-3's versus fish pills unless you don't like eating fish.  I would also add in extra virgin coconut oil.  This oil is a Medium Chain Tryglyceride (MCY) and is processed by the liver as fuel not body fat.  I eat a couple of tablespoons with my food.  Coconut oil is great for health and helps you lose body fat.  On days you don't cook, eating olive oil with your meals is fine.
