Hey, ok. Obviously I know exercises to build your lower arms. The thing is that I am not sure that this is a matter of just building your lower arms. Neither do I know if its an issue of grip strength.

When I do Pull-Ups (particularly wide grip - for the back) then on the last two reps or so before muslce failure sets in - I have to stop (I dont of course as pain is only weakness leaving the body and all...;-) as I feel pain in my lower arms. They feel like they are going to pop open. How can I get around that?

Thanks

You must be speaking about forearms correct? Deadlifts and Pull-Up exercises are going to work the hell out of your forearms. It's imo doing 1-2 of those exercises for forearms you know a week on top of everything will help you build up more strength in your forearms/grip strength. This in return should condition you for those thypes of lifts you can't fully complete because your forearms give out too early. I had this issue with bicep curls because my forearms were too weak and caused me to much pain to curl what I knew I could. After some time of strengthening/isolating them I have not had any issues.

I have been training coming up on 6 years and have made some great gainz. I've done a lot of trial and error on myself as well as learned from others and through research online. I've come along way in strength and size since I've started. I will continue to learn and make myself better each day. Hi Sven,

You need to strenghten your forearms. You can try with:

- Ironbull weight grips

- Holding BB weights with "pliers grip" as long as you can

- Hang on bar (initial position for pull-up)

- Hold BB in deadlift end position

- BB wrist curls

- use dynaflex ball

- ...

Just to name few ;)

Mit freündlichen Grüßen, Gregor

If you do drop sets, they will BURN your forearms too.

Most exercises require your forearms, so eventually you should be able to fight through the pain.

However, doing isolated wrist exercises is a good idea. You might want to try doing high reps to work on endurance.

Thanks. Yes, I guess I ll go back to incorporating one lower arm exercise into my arm day. I ll go for the inverted grip barbell curl. That always burned my lower arms. And thats probably useful doing high rep sets there for endurance. Thanks all.

To be honest, this used to happen to me... I just keep pushing through the pain as much as possible and in time you will get stronger and will be able to handle more.

Nothing beats that feeling of your arms exploding once you FINALLY let go of the bar!!! haha #HTH
