Hi Scott,

I had stopped fitness for a while and had let myself go and im a massive endomorph but ive gotten back into the swing of things now and so far ive lost about 30 pounds! I do weight training 4x a week (8 reps heavy weight.. different amount of sets every day depending on when i feel ive hit super sayian) and i *try* to do cardio atleast once a week whether thats jump rope or cardio (both HIIT and steady)

Im currently:

5"10

231 lbs

approx 39/40% BFP (3 fold calliper calculator)

Im losing weight currently eating around 2100 calories per day and my macros are currently

Protein:                173g  / 32%

Carbs:                  146g  / 28%

Fat:                       93g    / 40%

I feel like im ready to up the anti so to speak and i want a bigger deficit and to really increase my fat loss however the thing thats holing me back is the plateau effect. I feel like if i lower my calories now and cut weight faster will that make it harder for me to lose weight in the future? around my stomach is currently 43" and im quite 'plump'. I want to lose fat and i want to be able to keep losing fat over a long period of time. I feel like i have too much fat to lose within a year to really make any headway on my abs, hence why i dont do abs at the gym anymore.

P.S

I did try to look for a similar thread to avoid wasting your time but couldnt find one. Sorry!

Thanks for the help Scott!

@davidjames951 Congrats on the 30lbs lost so far!

I see what you mean about the deficit.. it seems like it would be really low already? It's definitely going to be rough when you hit plateaus. If you're truely only just in a deficit there, then you might need to make some time to do a bit more cardio so you can eat more while still being in a deficit. Another 2-3 days of cardio would give you more room to adjust your macros and calories.

Also, you can still do abs whether you can see them or not. If you don't train them at all, you would have to be at a lower body fat % to see them, and they wouldn't look as good as they could if you had been training them through your entire cut. You still train everything else.. so I don't see any reason why you wouldn't then train your abs as well 😊

Hi Scott,

I hope I am in the right forum,

I have a question regarding the Calorie Goal calculator, I just put my details, and I got that I need to consume the following:

Calorie Goal : 131521 Protein Intake Goal : 194 Fat Intake Goal : 45 Carbohydrate Intake Goal : 32585

the only 1 thing I don't understand is the Calorie Goal : 131521 value, it shouldn't be 1,315.21 it is low, and if it is the correct value of calories I probably need to consume like an elephent...:-)

Please advice.

10x

Alex

@AlexSh47 I'm guessing you must have entered in a number wrong somewhere my friend because you're right, your calorie intake and carb intake goals shouldn't be that high haha.

Try again and see if you get the same results?

If you do, post your body stats here and I will try it!
