how much should a beginner aim for to hit intermediate on calf raises? Bench is 225x5 etc.. etc.. is 315x20 enough to grow?

@faijaii I don't think there is a number to be honest my friend. Calves aren't necessarilly built by how much weight you can lift - in fact to an extent, no muscle group is. It's about the ability to breakdown and rebuild muscle. Sure the amount you lift helps, but it's not the be all and end all.

 

My advice is that you just focus on always getting a full stretch and hard flex on every single rep you do for calves and maybe hit them with a bit more frequency if you're struggling to get them to grow.
