I have been working out for about 2 and a half months now so far, but I'll be back to school and will have absolutely no time to hit the gym and I'm worried I'll gain lots of weight back. I lost about 5 kg already. Is there a way to maintain my muscle and weight throughout the school period?

Thanks.

@MikeMS Well, ideally you will find a little bit of time to get a workout in. Even if it's 30 minutes. Something is better than nothing, and if it's a goal of yours, you have to make the time for it.

But to maintain as much as possible, eat at maintenance and keep your protein fairly high, about as much as you would take if you were cutting (1.2g - 1.5g per pound of lean body weight).

If you're not training at all though, you will probably lose a bit if it's going to be 8 months (as well as strength), but hopefully not too much.

Even if you can't make it to the gym, do some bodyweight workouts at home or something, so you're giving your muscles some stimulus and reason to stay.
