Hey Nation,
I just wanted to know whats everyones take on Bio-Gro by iSatori. I've personally never tried it but I've read endless reviews. The hype on this product is crazy!! Has anyone had any experience using it? Or does anyone have any scientific or personal views on the product? Just wanted to know what you guys thought before I make a decision to try it for myself.
Thanks in advance!

I will tell you my opinion as a biochemist. This product does not work at all. Looking at the label, it shouldnt work. Some of the ingredients it has CAN be beneficial but NOT orally. People will buy anything if it gets hyped enough. It would be much much much cheaper for you, way more effective and maybe even safer, if you bought some testosterone injections. We re not about the steroids on this site, but a fact is a fact. Obviously you wont be considered "natural" if you use bio-gro, if you care about this stuff. And obviously they will disqualify you in any natural contest of any type. So its funny that its a not-natural product that doesnt work and yet it sells so much. Those iSatori people are geniuses when it comes to marketing.

I agree with Kostas. Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) is a powerful hormone that works in conjunction with growth hormone and testosterone. This is not something that can be injested orally to be effective. Just like growth hormone, it must be injected in its natural form to be useful. This stuff is all hype and if anything could potentially screw up a urinalysis and/or blood test checking for doping and PED's as any exogenous IGF-1 that the body may be able to absorb from this stuff will yield higher than natural amounts or metabolites in the sample.
Supplements are not regulated by the FDA or any like governing bodies in other countries so the safety and efficacy is very suspect in these "designer" supplements. Case in point, Superdrol which is a legally sold over the counter and online supplement is really dimethylated Anadrol. Anadrol is one of the most potent and toxic anabolic steroids around and is only used for people suffering severe wasting like AIDS or cancer patients or people recovering from severe burns. It has already caused some deaths due to liver failure because people ignored the instructions of only using it for 4 weeks and ended up using it longer and at higher dosages because they assumed it was safe since it is marketed as a supplement and not a drug.
