    Overhead Press Question

    Hi Scott,

    Do you think my wrists are bent too much? Doesn't hurt in any way (only 55lbs). Thanks!

    Hey Porscha!

     

    Having a bent wrist isn't "bad", but I do feel like that could become a problem as you get stronger and are lifting more weight.

     

    An easy way to help fix this is when you first get under the barbell to lift it off the rack, get RIGHT under it so its already touching your chest before you unrack. This will allow you to get a firm grip on the barbell with your wrists already straight before unracking.

     

    Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
