Questions I get asked all the time are, “How can I achieve great results and what are the tips you have to offer?” As well as, “What is the best thing for me to eat?” And “What is the best training plan to get the best results?”.

Now, if you have a look at why people ask these questions, it’s down to fact that they desperately want quick results. The problem with this is if you’re a natural athlete, a body transformation takes time! Small adaptations over a long time lead to impressive results. So what I’m saying is, is there are no short cuts…

So How Do You Achieve Results?

You need to commit 100% and know that whatever you do affects how your body changes in response to that. So if you’re kicking your ass in the gym but your nutrition is terrible, then you’re not putting yourself in a position to get the best possible results. It’s like buying a sports car and then using budget fuel in it…you just wouldn’t do it. In order to get the best results, put the best fuel in.

Unfortunately there is no secret meal that makes you leaner or bigger, as long as you’re hitting your macros for your desired goal. Now obviously there are different techniques to help coax fat loss, but that’s about understanding your body’s response to food. A good trainer should educate you so that you understand why you are doing what he/she has told you.

You may be thinking 'What about white fish, rice and broccoli?'. I’m glad to tell you guys that there are a lot more options out there for you. If you are not creative with your nutrition then you won’t stick to it and you will binge on “Dirty Foods”. The best Nutrition Plan is something you can stick to. What’s The Best Exercise?

I often get asked 'What exercise can I do to get a bigger chest or arms?', Or 'What’s the best exercise for my abs?'. This boils down to personal preference, but my tip for you is to stick to the multi joint compound lifts and focus on progressing the weights up whilst maintaining good form and tension on the targeted area. As I mentioned earlier, being 100% committed means not missing your session for the week and if you do this for a prolonged period of time then I can guarantee you will get results.

For the more advanced trainer, you will notice some areas of your body respond better to training than others. This can be incredibly frustrating especially if you are working hard to no avail. This often leads to the next question I discuss, and people often resort to Google searches for the answer.

How Do I Bring Up A Lagging Body Part?

If you need to bring up a lagging body part, here are my questions for you:

  1. Are you using full range of motion?

  2. Are you cheating yourself out of results by going too heavy? Or are you not flexible enough to get the full range and need to work on some mobility and stretches?

  3. Are you following a plan? I see a lot of people coming into the gym and not working to a plan or writing down what they are doing. Writing down the exercise and weight gives you the visual aid of knowing where you need to increase the weights or reps, and gives you more control of your results.

  4. Are you allowing yourself enough time to get stronger, or are you chopping and changing plans still looking for the secret?

  5. Are you working out with the right intensity?

  6. Are you going through the motions of coming to the gym, or are you training your ass off?

  7. Are you having enough rest? I love working out but you need time to recover. We grow when we are resting and repairing, not while in the gym.

So there you have it, these are my tips for getting your dream body! Remember, stay dedicated and the results will come.

Good read Dan!  I must admit my meals get boring sometimes and I tend to cheat more when this happens!  I know that just means I need to prepare my meals better and switch it up!

@hawk_given Variety is key. Try just varying how you cook something take sweet potato I have them 3 or 4 different ways to trick my mind into thinking its a completely different meal. (Roasted, Fried, Cut into chips and mashed)
