Here is a toothsome Hallowe'en treat that won't cause Hallowbetes (diabetes) or tooth decay!

Now at first glance, you may think I used marshmallows. Did you really think I'd use sugary marshmallows? Everyone knows that marshmallows are ghost poo.

Read below to find out the "marshmallow alternative" I used...

Nutritional Facts

Serving Size: 1 apple, 2 marshmallows and 1 TBSP P28 spread

Cooking Instructions

Ingredients:

  • Gala apple

    o
Note: Apples have low glycemic index rating, which means the rate at which the apple is formed into glucose and released into your bloodstream is much slower.  This is good because it will help keep your blood sugar levels under control.

  • La Nouba Marshmallows (fat free, no sugar, no carbs)

  • 1 TBSP of P28 White Chocolate Spread

Directions:

  1. Cut and carve the apple into lip shapes (optional: create a cupid's bow in the upper lip).

  2. Cut marshmallows into teeth shapes (use scissors).

  3. Stack 6 marshmallows onto the lower lip, then rest the upper lip on top.

  4. Use Chocolate Spread to make the marshmallows and apples stick together.

  5. Enjoy!

NOTE:Combining a healthy fat (such as nut butter) with your apple will slow the release of glucose into your bloodstream, which well help keep your blood sugar levels as stable as possible.

SUBSTITUTIONS: You could also use PB2 (to save calories), all natural peanut butter, or almond butter.
