Cooking Instructions

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter

  • ½ cup honey

  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

  • 4 Tablespoons ground golden flax seed

  • 4 Tablespoons chia seeds

  • 6 Tablespoons of vanilla or chocolate flavored protein powder

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. I recommend using an adjustable measuring cup for the wet ingredients. I also recommend putting the rolled oats, flax seed, chia seeds, and protein powder in first so the ingredients don’t fly out of the bowl when mixing. Use a mixer or spoon to combine all the ingredients until evenly mixed.

    • Stand mixers (i.e. Kitchen Aid or Bosch) work very well with this recipe.

  2. Once mixed, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Take bowl out of the fridge. With clean hands, take a handful of the mixture and roll into a golf ball sized ball and repeat until all the mixture is rolled into protein balls.

  4. Place protein balls into a covered container.

  5. Store in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy!

This looks like an amazing recipe - As others have found probably best when on a bulk, in moderation and as a significant part of your carb intake. I'll have to try it out soon!

Nice recipe :) Looks and sounds really tasty. But damn that thing is a carb bomb hehe. Oats, Honey, Whey Protein and Choclate.. BOOM!

Well i'd say that is a very solid reason then!!! And the much better choice =) (and the better carbs too)

That's why the title isn't "Healthy Peanut Butter Protein Balls". .  I eat these when I'm craving sweets.  1 PB ball keeps me from eating cookies and ice cream lol.

They are delicious.  I have to limit myself to 1-2 a day.  They keep me from eating other sweets which would be way more than 151 calories lol.
