We spend so much time in the gym, but how much of that time is tossed in the trash due to ego lifting? It’s no coincidence that many of us, me included, have a hard time building big calves and traps.

The exercises used to build these muscles are probably the easiest to get caught up in using “more weight” instead of focusing on an ACTUAL muscle contraction and for that reason those muscles are UNDERDEVELOPED!

But today is the day all of that is going to change! Well, at least for those calves! #HTH #SHFAthlete #ProjectGains #MuscularStrength

Yes, your calves have definitely moved up to the next level! Good info about staying within the weight needed that supports full ROM.

I will now incorporate calf-raises at home using our stairs. Good idea.

Thank you, Scott. My calves have been stuck at 14.5" and have refused to grow, meanwhile my upper body and upper legs grow no problem. I will incorporate all of this into my routine, did the stairs yesterday, calves are already sore.

Its been a year ago when I did the same mistake as you said. I noticed that lifting the light weight with full range of motion is much better because you can easily stretch and control your muscle all the way up! And good to say also that somehow I got an improvement =)

OK, I've been struggling to find time to do any training for the last two weeks. I 've managed few circuit sessions but it is about it. Until I watch Scotts Calves clip! With still struggling with time i decided to hit the staircase and with a quick low wieght barbell set after. My Calves are still a bit tender 4days later. So the lesson being don't laught at the staircase. 😁
