Hey Scott.I have a question that i would like to ask you. What should i do if my left chest feels like like its going to brake something on the side and feel tickles on the other side in the same left chest?. I had a little problem 2 months ago,ago i was doing biceps and in my head i wanted to do bench as much as i can,and i didn't warm up my chest and o did heavy weight and i felt pain on my left chest and i didn't care , and i added 50 more pounds and i couldn't push it up and i felt more pain on my left chest.I couldn't move my arm a lot and after 2 weeks i started doing bench, but still feeling some effects on my left chest, and now still the same thing, im scared to lift heavy because i thinks something will happen to my chest.

Please reply, it will be very helpful to hear what you recomend me .Thanks.

Best thing to do is go see doctor. Probably shouldn't lift until you get it checked out too, you might injure it again. You don't want something like this to happen to you.

Robert @Ohawkey is right.

Also, make sure you always warm up, and only use weights that don't make your chest 'feel like it's going to break'. No point trying to go super heavy and injuring yourself which could keep you from benching for a lot longer.

Make sure you do some stretching too if you can without pain: http://muscularstrength.com/article/Three-Ways-To-Fix-A-Tight-Chest

Hey Scott! I have a question that I'd like to ask. I started to workout last week after a 4 months of resting. After my chest workout I felt pretty good but a day after my chest was swollen like a watermelon and I had a very strong muscle pain. Three days after it was okay. Altough this week I went to the gym and I did some chest, and again the other day my chest was swollen like hell. I doesn't hurt this time but it's like having boobs. What could be the problem?

You have DOMS - Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. This happens when your body is still new to lifting or a particular exercise, routine, or amount of weight until your body adapts. As long as it is soreness and not sharp pains indicative of an injury, you are fine. John

Brayan, You are either lifting too much weight, using improper form, or both. Pushing thru the pain is the wrong approach and will lead to a pec tear and 6-12 months of recovery post surgery. Train your muscles not your ego. Who cares how much you lift and how fast you get there? Sounds to me like you are pushing too hard too quickly. Also, it is better to train chest with dumbbells versus barbells as it stresses more pec fibers and allows your chest and shoulders to follow a more natural path - as nobody is perfectly symmetrical. I would have a doctor check to make sure you haven't partially torn your pec tendons and if so you need to follow a proper recovery plan. If you don't take it easy, the next pics you will be posting will be of you in your hospital bed post pec surgery. John
