Hey @RaidenCo!

Strength comes from lifting heavy weight, low reps, generally. However, if you are a beginner, you can see some great strength gains when you first start training. Without any barbells or dumbbells, focus on some body weight work first - pull ups, push ups, squats, dips etc.

Once you get comfortable with those, try adding some weight - put a backpack filled with things to make it heavy on your back.

Your calorie intake is FAR too low. Whether you want to gain strength or muscle (or both), you need to be giving your body enough fuel. 1200 for a 17-year-old is just not enough. Period.

Have you looked at the @mealplan page and calculated your macros? Make sure you head over there if you haven't yet!

Hope this helps!

I 100% agree with Joe.

Increasing strength comes from lifting heavy weight. As what he said start from the basic trainign to make your arms, shoulder, back and core much stronger. Push ups, pull ups and dips are good workout to gain strength for your arms and shoulder as well. You can also do ab workout, planking and hyperextension to gain strength for your back and core. You need to gain strength for your arms, shoulder, back and legs to lift heavy weight. True level strength comes from heavy ass weight. So better to be prepare for that. Of course... your food intake is very important as well. You need to load carbs which is enough for your heavy training. And high protein as well for muscle definition and building.

( Beginner ) 1 Year Lifting Experience Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management Don't be afraid to make mistakes, face failure and fall, because most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. You'll get everything you wish for... just focus and work on it. And you'll get more than you could ever have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long, and in the end - - the journey is the destination.
