Something weird started going on. So, there is clock in my gym and right across it, is a bench that I lie on and do dips leg raises. When I get up from that bench, I see the clock so I look at the clock between the sets to see how many seconds passed. During my last couple of leg raises excercises, I realized I couldn't see the second hand of the clock. There was a time I went to Abdominal Machine right after doing leg raises and couldn't read the numbers on weight plates no matter how hard I tried. It's hard to describe, it's like my there are patches in my vision where I can't see. Never noticed this during my arm, shoulder, chest or back workouts. Only caught my attention during ab workouts.

Extra info; I use corticosteroids and am nearing the end of my taper. Taking 5 mg per day. I read somewhere that this thing can cause glaucoma so if that's what this is about I'll go and have my eyes checked.

Pretty sure no one on here is an eye doctor, so I would go see an eye doctor.

Got me curious that it happens during my ab workouts so wanted to get an opinion.

As I have told you before, corticosteroids also greatly increase your blood pressure - especially when you lift. I would have a qualified physician check you out because sustained high blood pressure damages the heart and can lead to arrhythmias and could cause what you are experiencing. High blood pressure can also lead to glaucoma but you are too young for this to occur right now. You need to report all new or unusual symptoms to your doctor due to your medications.

If you plan on continuing to stay on pharmaceuticals, you must remember that your body is not in a "normal" state and there is the possibility of many different side-effects that will occur while you are under therapy.

I do actually hold my breath from time to time, helps me stabilize myself.

I tend to hold my breath during certain exercises to better stabilize myself. Should I especially avoid that if my blood pressure is already high? The time I couldn't read the numbers on weight plates, I was scared shitless because I had some trouble with my eyes a year ago that lasted a long long time.

Other than this, I'm doing good these days, went down to 5 mg again 4 days ago. I've been told I should decrease how much I taper down each week the closer I get to 0 otherwise I may go into adrenal crisis. I plan to finish my taper in 2,5 weeks if nothing goes wrong. After that, no more steroids!!

(Knocking on every piece of wood I can find at the moment. Last time I said things were going, they decided to not go so well.)

Yes, do not hold your breath at all. That increases your blood pressure which is not adviseable for you given your current state.
